Bear Witness bring raw rock energy to the stage. The exciting and refined performances generated addictive riffs, powerful vocals and a strong stage presence leaving the audience keen for more – James Willis, The Marrs Bar

Birmingham-based Rock trio Bear Witness release brand new single ‘Perfect Living’ on Friday, 12th April 2019 from their soon to be released EP ‘DAWN’. Quickly following on from their debut EP ‘Dreams Of Fame’ in March 2018, Bear Witness have displayed serious determination in pounding out an equally tight follow up.

Produced and mastered by Gareth Rogers who was an engineer on albums for Robert Plant, The Editors and Paolo Nutini, he has helped the band develop their sound to uplift, conquer and ensnare. Textured, with tight angled guitar lines and hammering rhythms, ‘Perfect Living’ is a furious wide-eyed beast for fans of Queens of The Stone Age, Foo Fighters, Highly Suspect, Nothing But Thieves and Incubus. A sarcastic observation about humans creating the illusion of living the perfect life, the song is about the realisation that carefree living doesn’t exist.

Bear Witness were formed in 2014 in Worcester by brothers Matt and Alex Georgiou, initially playing for high school peers at local music venues. Relocating to Birmingham following university commitments, the brothers added third member and Birmingham native Liam Mead in on bass. As a three-piece they turned the heads of BBC Introducing with their last single ‘Liquid Diamond’ when they were played across BBC Hereford and Worcester to wide local applause.

Proving not only to be a creative powerhouse in the recording studio, Bear Witness have positioned themselves as capable videographers with the accompanying video to ‘Perfect Living’. Storyboarding, filming and editing the visuals themselves, the video tells the first part of a story following a gifted human under government surveillance. Having evolved to teleport and manipulate reality, we follow his journey of escape from the futuristic government army DAWN. The video story will be continued throughout Bear Witness’ next two releases from their ‘DAWN’ EP over the coming year.

Bear Witness play The Sunflower Lounge on Wednesday, 24th April 2019.
