Fresh on the scene, Hip-Hop artist BSK just released new Cali-inspired track ‘Do Me Like That’.  Based in Lancashire, the single is impressively self-produced and was mixed and mastered by London Mastering (UEFA, Goldsmiths University). The polished vocals in the single are  from Isabella Daria and work perfectly around BSKs deep contrasting bars. With the single already gathering momentum on Spotify having attained almost 30k streams, ‘Do Me Like That’ is already well on its way to being the young rapper’s biggest track to date. 

BSK’s sound rings true of his American Hip-Hop influences such as Outkast, Notorious B.I.G. and Kendrick Lamar so much, so that the last place you would say he was from would be a rural town in the North of England and perhaps that’s what gives the track a more accessible, family-friendly vibe. The story behind the track comes primarily from personal experience in past relationships, and BSK hopes that its themes are relatable to any listeners going through a similar situation. ‘Do Me Like That’ delves into emotions that are not typical of a Hip-Hop track, particularly in this style and features heartfelt lyrics as opposed to subjects about material things or money and drugs. BSK wants to promote a more profound, intelligent view towards his music stating “You have to stick to yourself to love yourself. No matter what. You are never gonna change yourself. Just love yourself.” 

BSK began to experiment with production at the beginning of lockdown and has consistently been releasing a flurry of singles since, achieving spots on up to 50 playlists on Spotify. The fresh-sounding release from the up-and-coming producer and rapper is sure to be the start of something special.
